15 Days in Cuba

Day 1: Welcome to Havana

Welcome at Havana airport. Transfer by car to the private house in Havana (bed & breakfast). Our accommodations are located in the most central and advantageous areas, Vedado or Old Havana. You will immediately notice typical Cuban features, such as many vintage cars. You will also see Cuban Revolution propaganda on large billboards along the streets. Welcome to Havana!

2 & 3 Havana

Day 2: Old Havana City Tour

In the morning, you’ll take a city tour of Havana in a classic car, visiting the city’s most iconic sites. You’ll visit the Morro Fortress, the Plaza de la Revolución, and the National Hotel, among others. One of the most striking features of this city is its architectural diversity. In Old Havana, for example, you can see buildings and squares that were built when Cuba was a Spanish colony. You can visit the Bodeguita del Medio, which is especially famous for the mojito that Hemingway used to drink there. In Old Havana, live music can be heard in many places. Most of the restaurants are located in this part of the city

4 Viñales

Full-day excursion in Viñales. Departure at 8:00 AM. Visit a tobacco plantation farm. Enjoy a 2-hour horseback ride through the Viñales Valley (15 Euros per person for the horse ride, paid locally). Lunch in Viñales at a countryside restaurant (included in the price). Then, visit the Cueva del Indio (entrance fee paid locally). Visit the Los Jazmines viewpoint for panoramic views of the Viñales Valley. Return to Havana at 4:30 PM.

5 Havana

During these days, you can enjoy this wonderful city. Havana offers many possibilities. On the other side of Havana Bay, you’ll find the Castillo del Morro and the San Carlos de la Cabaña Fortress, which were built during colonial times to protect the entrance to the city through Havana’s port. At La Cabaña, every night the well-known ceremony “El Cañonazo de las 9” takes place. You can request our excursion, “El Cañonazo. You can also take advantage of these free days to do one of our excursions. For example, a Havana tour with local friends. This way, you can have a more complete guided tour of the whole city. You can also get to know more of authentic Cuba with a local family. Another option could be dancing salsa in Cuba

6 Cienfuegos

On day 6 of the tour, you travel by car from Havana to Cienfuegos. It’s a long journey of 5 hours. You will pass through very attractive places, such as Playa Larga, the Cueva de los Peces (where you pay the entrance fee locally and can snorkel), Punta Perdiz, and Playa Girón (where you can visit the historical/military museum). You will arrive in the city of Cienfuegos at the end of the afternoon

7, 8 & 9 Trinidad

Trip from Cienfuegos to Trinidad. On this journey, you can take an excursion to El Nicho (The Waterfalls of the El Nicho National Park). This excursion is done in a different car from the one that accompanies you during the trip, as it is specially prepared for the mountain climbs. The excursion is optional and paid locally. The price is 30 euros per person and includes transportation, a guide, and lunch. (You will also need to pay for entry to the El Nicho National Park). This excursion is one of the most recommended by the agency. We consider the El Nicho Waterfall system to be one of the three most beautiful and must-see places in Cuba. If you choose not to do this excursion, our car will take you directly from Cienfuegos to Trinidad

10, 11, 12, 13 & 14  Varadero

Today, you travel from Trinidad to the famous Varadero beach. Before that, you will pass through the city of Santa Clara and visit the city’s points of interest. This will be the last tourist destination of your 15-day Cuba circuit. Varadero is stunning! It has 21 kilometers of beach with turquoise waters, clean and fine white sand. Varadero Beach is a very popular tourist destination, but it is one of those places in Cuba that no one should miss. It has a wide range of hotel infrastructure, offering facilities for water activities, golf, dining, events, and a lively nightlife. Varadero is relatively close to Havana, just 1 hour and 30 minutes by car

Day 15: Transfer to the Airport

You will be picked up at your private accommodation for a transfer by car to the airport
